Thread: Nautilus shows wrong file sizes


afternoon ,

have picked little niggle in nautilus. shows "wrong" size.
shows "raw" size , not correct "converted" size in mb or gb if
know mean. link included has screen shot show mean.
iso's size 695mb , nautilus shows raw 728mb wrong.
checked , saw in nautilus shows wrong. in terminal size shows
correctly 695mb. saw on files , not 1 file.

how can fix show correct mb , gb size in nautilus please ?

ubuntu 12.04 updates today.

i have same issue. seems old debate issue whether change settings , enforce them old , new users or add setting , give user option change (back) whatever was.

feel adding setting should default of these issues (i can come numerous changes in gnome/ubuntu case) instead of thinking 'well, might better no 1 mind changing it' , end user not being able used setting, used to.

so, ubuntu developers, if change settings these, please add user option used 1 , don't disappoint users may have preferred old setting new one.
it's not late many changes enforced recently...

personally, when upgrade new versions, able latest technical enhancements , not particularly forced use new layouts , loose old settings , functions.
