Thread: Won't install?


sup, i'm fireoath.

alright lets start off laptop trying install ubuntu on.

laptop
------
dell
inspiron 1300
intel celeron m
32 bit.

so, decided ubuntu obviously, 12.04(32bit) desktop on laptop. put iso image on cd , made usb key (4gbs) boot able also, when put in disk, goes ubuntu screen has 5 dots below it, when loading freezes , no matter how long wait doesn't go anywhere @ all. after repeating 10-15 times formatted computer using cd had before. decided use boot able usb, plug in, restart computer pressed f12, blah blah blah, , got same screen , same problem keeps occurring, repeatedly kept trying on +10 times , wouldn't change.

can me?

you didnt' post system specs besides cpu.

gpu have? how ram have? did try of boot options ? : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/bootoptions

did wait long enough? might take while livecd load everyhting has loaded ram first. can press esc key see if there error messages below screen.
