Thread: Upgrading to ubuntu 12.04 from 10.04

i using ubuntu 10.04. possible directly upgrade 12.04 without having install other versions 10.10 etc?
if so, tell me how that..
possible upgrade iso copy of 12.04 or have make fresh installation if use 12.04 cd?

yes, it's possible 10.04 , 12.04 both lts versions, , upgrades 1 lts version other supported though can't jump on version when upgrading.

have upgrade using update manager, cd download wouldn't have updated packages of software have installed on computer. anyway, update manager should show button allows update 12.04.

recommend making fresh install instead, while such update supported in theory, there loads , loads of changes between tose versions , more smoothly working , problem-free system (probably less work) backign files , making fresh instal of 12.04...
