Thread: email filter/conduit using thunderbird


hi all,
main email source (exchange server) has ceased providing pop. had been using pop forward email gmail , using gmail main email client lot.

have set thunderbird instance on ubuntu (12.04) box downloads email via imap main exchange server , based on thunderbird filter rules, assigns gmail labels using imap upload mail gmail. kludgy solution @ best:

1) requires box online continuously.
2) requires thunderbird client run continuously on box
3) requires gui modify filters on box running thunderbird.

main problem 2. thunderbird periodically crashes or goes state no longer moves email via imap (which requires restarting application).

question(s):
1) there online email client can perform task lay out above _or_
2) there more stable approach running client on own box. preferably daemon can remotely managed.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
