HBOgo video terrible playback but Flash works everywhere else

i've been having problem long time, many months.  begin watching on hbogo.com, playback defaults medium resolution, plays fine few seconds, when detects bandwidth, kicks maximum resolution.  video becomes choppy framerates around 2 5 fps (if i'm lucky), cpu pinned @ 100%, , audio equally choppy (not mention annoying as....).

 

computer:  hp pavilion dv7 laptop nvidia graphics 9600 gt

os:  vista 64

flash player version:  11,9,900,152

 

i've applied every update can think of:

-  windows updates, latest service pack, security updates, let windows update thing , double checked work verify date.

-  lastest drivers video nvidia

-  3 browsers date:

   (1) firefox  (preferred browser)  (2) chrome  (3) ie  (which use last resort)

- also, flash plugins each browser, happens automatically anyway once have plugin installed , update browser

- updated hp firmware, bios , every hardware subcomponent , update found.

- i've created new windows user profiles watch single video after reinstalling each browser there's no chance of cache corruption or like.

 

i watched youtube video @ 1920 resolution in "stats nerds" says 25 fps , few dropped frames.  here's video, if cares:

watching cpu showed hovering between 40 , 50 percent.  said wasn't using hardware acceleration either, find annoying, seems nit picking when plays smoothly.

so, i'd that's example of hd video playing flash, right?  of course.

 

second example, flash hulu.  same thing, , videos play time, @ best resolutions.

 

so, tells me computer can play flash videos @ high resolution, no problem.

 

until goto hbogo.com, is.

right clicking on video shows me:

     stage video enabled in osmf: yes

     stage video supported

     stage video not being used...

 

if watch video (nearly unbearable), see job of maintaining buffer (60s using 400mb), frame rate less 4 , dropped frames climb thousands while cpu shows 100% , never less 96%.  after doing spacebar-pause still spit out few frames , second or 3 later acknowledge pause request showing pause icon on screen, if having difficult time processing every frame.

 

flash works everywhere except on hbogo.com, make me want blow computer.  forgetting check?  please help.

i thought of else:  tracert times out around 11th hop.  found online tracert application on opposite side of country reliably times out approaches same server.  tried resetting time out ridiculous 100,000 ms , times out still.

 

i realize doesn't mean much, since unicast routing asynchronous (so path hbogo me different me them), might getting hot-potatoed, , protocol on tracert relies combined low importance of packet's information means tossed out server (giving me fasle positive packet loss derives server doesn't feel responding tracert requests).

 

despite fact tracert diagnostically weak, there way low-level stuff latency affect how flash decodes video?  buffer seems full everytime check it, don't know how could, again, don't know networking in first place.

 

oh, i'm in philadelphia,  online tracert utility think in california, , i'm pretty sure hbogo video server somewhere near texas.
