currently used avant dock in unity desktop environment ... , set left panel in autohide mode. everytime when minimized application, minimized in left panel, not in dock. so, tried un-check unity plugin ccsm ... wow! top panel disappeared. actually, love unity hate icon's size limitation.

1. possible reduce icon's size? wish 20 or 25px.
2. how make opened applications minimized in avant, , not unity?
3. how remove left panel without remove top panel?

i'm not aware of ways remove left panel. can resize left panel down 32 pixels. in 12.04, settings > appearance, , use slider @ bottom change size of panel.

if not using 12.04 believe can still use ubuntu tweak change size of left panel.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
