Thread: No F1 - F12 terminals (12.04+lxde)


i using ubuntu 12.04lts + lxde meta deb pack, not sure if cause lxde, when press 1 of function keys drop down terminal resolve faulty program or crash, red-ish bar @ top of screen. pressing f7 believe brings me x11, serious problem because prevents me fixing problems. ideas?

edit: meant ctrl+alt+functionkey, not functionkey

you mean don't virtual terminal when press ctrl+alt+f1?

if mean, , have nvidia graphics card, possibly have this bug?

(1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
