Thread: Comapq CQ40-328TU ... Brightness' Problem


when installed ubuntu 12.04 in cq40 lappie ... ... works fine.
minor display's brightness ... still able reduce brightness 0 (according ubuntu's sign) press fn+f7 (brightness reduced key).
every startup, brightness reset default, not setting.

now, forgot had doing ... fn+f7 key not working anymore.

there 1 can me out?
@ least fn+f7 key works normally.

ps:
display full brightness, eyes very very not comfortable.
please me ...

this known issue, display brightness reset maximum/default every time user logout or reboot.

however, don't know why key not work. can configure via system setting?

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
