Thread: Can't boot Windows 7 after repartitioning my dual boot


i have dual boot set right ubuntu 12.04 , windows 7. booted live, loaded gparted, , had futz around partition sizes, had been established, i'm trying , move stuff around. now, having completed movement , resizing of partitions, windows 7 displayed error: 0cx0000225, missing device, or along lines. booted live, , ran boot-repair, having had issues boot managers before, , after looking around previous forum posts prior incident, , boot-repair has part, solved problems. however, @ particular juncture, no longer case. looking on other forum posts, looks might have issue partition tables, , if case, how might go fixing much? other possible cause need run windows 7 system repair, unfortunately, not have access currently. , insights can provide matter appreciated. in advance.

better, in opinion, carry out partition edits or changes windows os using disk management utility in windows itself. may able windows boot again running chkdisk, or whatever it's called, how when can't boot os, afraid haven't clue.

can safe mode pressing f8, if remember correctly, , needed processes of booting, rather full os.
