this week, google given approval of network os patent applied in 2009. design of os built “providing operating system on network local device” provision new versions of operating systems onto hardware devices....they own patent on cloud-based os, platform “a computer-implemented method providing operating system on network local device”, filing states. can successful in hardware market? have shot, hardware cohesively ties business model. more people using devices, more advertising sell. that’s business model, , sticking it. if larry page’s famous quote put more wood behind fewer arrows applies product google offering today, chrome , chrome os.

there no doubt in our mind google positions chrome , chrome os (and android) flank microsoft , apple take on market share. not seem google has pieces in right places yet, cloud os patent , hardware in play , should taken rivals. said, take lot of grit, solid design , superior user experience in order google pull off.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
