Thread: Dual-boot - Windows 7 & Ubuntu with UEFI


hey everybody!

i've managed persuade friend give ubuntu try. he's running windows 7 on system. i'm going tell him sign on ubuntu forums, i'd able provide support, if runs problems while attempting dual-boot. i've suggested burn ubuntu livecd , test out on system before going installation. now, know if there differences in dual-booting when system has uefi? motherboard has uefi. understanding, uefi supposed replacement bios? i'd know how dual-boot ubuntu windows 7 on system uefi. appreciated!

i know need information uefi , ubuntu able find info. windows 8 , fedora.

i'm dual booted windows xp , have ubuntu 10.04...but have msi motherboard. i've never had problems dual boot.
