Thread: blue screen help!!!


hi - put in xp reinstall disk, restarted , black , white screen says "...windows did not start successfully." , highlights "start windows normally". when hit enter, begins start windows, goes right blue screen - "unmountable boot volume". i've tried hitting r key throughout process, can't to "welcome setup" screen. i'm stuck - can help?

i don't know why you're posting on ubuntu forums, i'll try anyway.

start off disk have press key when asks or boot hard drive after few seconds.
make sure bios set boot cd before hard drive.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
