Experian ProtectMyID - BEWARE!


i received notice adobe possible compromised credit card numbers , free one-year credit monitoring experian. instructed in letter went site , activated account. found incorrect information on free credit monitoring report. tried experian correct misinformation. here's happened:

 

in order them correct information had have report number, online report has no number.

to report number needed hard copy of report.

to hard copy of report had give them credit card number.

to hard copy of report had mail them documents.

during 2 weeks since sent them documents, started charging credit card.

today got them cancel of accounts.

 

so, adobe gets hacked , in order protect me credit card fraud, got screwed credit monitoring service paid protect me.

this fear of mine, since after sent me letter saw in news experian had sold consumer information identity sales services: http://krebsonsecurity.com/2013/10/experian-sold-consumer-data-to-id-theft-service/. i've waited, hoping offer alternative service, alas, nothing has been mentioned of since. i'm revisiting since alerted bank of target scandal, offering year's free monitoring via experian protectmyid, , thought i'd see what's happened adobe ordeal. ick. c'mon guys - give re-establish bit of our confidence in things.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
