Thread: No Sound: Diamond Xtreme Sound 7.1 24 bit


i installed ubuntu again since 8.x, , have soundcard works in windows, not here in 12.04 (im in 12.10 able reproduce in vm).

reason have card optical out. have pair of headphones has receiver plugs directly optical out of card. unable sound card , cannot find online says can work.

ideas? thanks.

the best can go bios , turn off onboard sound card, way automatically go sound card.

however, trying play sound more 1 program @ same time problematic, , i'm looking solution problem. i'm using kubuntu 12.04 on dell optiplex 755, sound card diamond xtreme sound 7.1/24 bit.

(1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
