Thread: install problems

i have ibm laptop , put 100 gig hdd in it. im unable install ubuntu 11.04 cause says have 690 mb of space.
how can fix this?
not new hdd, used 1

first of all, sure want install 11.04? support ends in 2 months , unsupported after that.

hdd, boot cd in live mode, open terminal , check hdd partitions with:
code:
sudo fdisk -l sudo parted -l
post results can have look.

might 690mb left unallocated , rest belongs partitions. installer not delete partitions because can mean data loss. have yourself. lets see above commands give partitions.
