Thread: 12.04 server network working fine until today -no connection


hi everyone,

have installed ubuntu server , has been , running 2 weeks now, , turned on morning , hung on boot on getting network configuration screen , i'm logged (none) , can't connect anything.

have rebooted, switched cables, restarted router, tested cable run, , checks out. oddly enough have plugged same cable computer using on ubuntu 12.04 desktop , works fine.

have used server set few virtual machines, yesterday ran script install cms (fat-free-cms): sudo apt-get install -y --force-yes curl : sudo su - -c "bash < <(curl -sl http://is.gd/q6seh4 )" failed trying download rubyonrails. latest major change, network working after failed install till end of day.

doing wrong? can lend me hand issue? appreciated.

i believe broke server doing wrong. going partition fresh install , see if works. if reinstall completely. pretty desperate on end

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
