IE8 vs. my website

as hate expose myself true web gurus in forum laugh on novice attempts @ websites , code, need tell me if there's hope fixing site work ie 8 (or heaven forbid, older versions of ie)

i've discovered couple of issues... of work fine in google chrome , in mozilla firefox.

1) spry menu dropdowns in website spread way across page rather smaller offset submenus (ex: http://www.orange.k12.nc.us/cws/index.htm)

2) on subpages , links, nothing ....  (ex: http://www.orange.k12.nc.us/cws/about/admin.html )

see part of header image nothing else.  (ex: http://www.orange.k12.nc.us/cws/about/staff.html )

when menu item links website entirely, nothing.(from page, http://www.orange.k12.nc.us/cws/index.htm click on academics , avid - goes website entirely see nothing)

all of these work in chrome , in firefox.  don't have problems on droid phone seeing them... ie8.

any , suggestions appreciated.  if need post code here or style sheet info, please let me know.  !!

i leave spry alone.

a couple things...

1. spry allowed die  adobe on year ago , no longer supported

2. ie8 on deathbed. xp loses support in april 2014, result ie8 use drop near 0 (like 6 , 7)

i (google) either "pure css menu" or "jquery dropdown menu" since newer ones have better, more standards compliant code , will, in general, much, more touch screen compatible old spry ones. better backwards compatible ie.
