Thread: Why no update to Gimp 2.8?


i have installed ubuntu 12.04.1 lts netbook, , pleasantly surprised iphone support , recognition has improved (perhaps can dare dump os/x?). recognises , mounts canon power shot g9 well.

yet 1 wonders why taking long update gimp 2.8?
keep checking updates, , nothing. version 12.04.1 lts, gimp 2.6.

i'm sure i'm not 1 wanting in update stream.

please, , thank you, ubuntu

usually it's bug fixing , security updates you'll recieve. ubuntu 6 months cycle release (if not following lts 2 years cycle).

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
