Thread: Setting up X to uses gpm setup?

hi,

have installed ubuntu 12.04.1 lts , used unity.

after while changed desktop environment window maker (my favorite
environment) , must setup manually keyboard layouts on console
(no graphical environment) , x window.

must purge unity , related packages x running
startx. it's me.

haven't success far in mice setup.

on console i'm using 'gpm' , works fine.

when used debian system have setup there works , used gpm
settings mice in x environment too.

gpm settings are:
device=/dev/input/mice
responsiveness=
repeat_type=ms3
type=exps2
append='-b 32145'
sample_rate=

in /etc/gpm.conf file.

1 can see mice have setup left hand.

on debian system setup works left hended mice in
x environment too, on ubuntu isn't case.

don't understand setup has mice in x?
why can't in x environment gpm setup of mice?

--
regards pal

the question wrong because no 1 can setup x uses gpm
configuration.

forgot that on debian setup mice lefthanded the
following line in ~/.xinit file:
xmodmap -e "pointer = 3 2 1 4 5"

, after line line
wmaker

starts window maker window manager.
