Thread: LAN IP listing issue

hi

trying list host's ips connected lan, using command:

sudo arp-scan --localnet

it's not working, respond:

root@localhost:~$ sudo arp-scan --localnet
ioctl: cannot assign requested address
warning: not obtain ip address interface eth0. using 0.0.0.0 for
source address, not want.
either configure eth0 ip address, or manually specify address
--arpspa option.
interface: eth0, datalink type: en10mb (ethernet)
error: not obtain interface ip address , netmask
error: pcap_lookupnet: eth0: no ipv4 address assigned

connected internet using wlan0 interface , not eth0, why talking eth0 here? suggestions?

dunno if help:
--localnet or -l
generate addresses network interface configuration use network interface ip address , network mask generate list of target host addresses. list include network , broadcast addresses, interface address of 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 generate 256 target hosts 10.0.0.0 10.0.0.255 inclusive. if use option, cannot specify --file option or specify target hosts on command line. the interface specifications taken interface arp-scan use, can changed --interface option.
