Thread: Dell D600 monitor problem


i installed xubuntu 12.04 on dell d600. on dell site see in specs

code:
maximum resolutions  1024 x 768 @ 16.8 million colors (xga);  1400 x 1050 @ 16.8 million colors (sxga+)
and

code:
video   video type  64-bit hardware accelerated  data bus  4x agp  video controller  ati mobility radeon 9000  video memory  32 mb  lcd interface  lvds  tv support  ntsc or pal in s-video , composite modes
however, both lcd , external monitor can select max of 1024 x 768 in display / screen settings (which ok lcd)

1 can imagine looks huuuge on 26inch !

can't find way have higher resolutions despite i'm sure used them before on same d600 winxp

can (in knowledge i'm not linux-expert) ?

no 1 ?

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
