Thread: Virus protection and clean-up software


greetings,
have started using lubunto , told don't need virus protection program. sound right or safe?

have been using flx-cleaner windows.

far i'm quite pleased lubunto, though have been unable install java. however, on upside have found comparable games on pchgames.com i'm doing okay there, too.

you learn reason why there no need anti virus program linux. because, newbie, should install programs repositories , install procedure item requires more 1 click. plus, there no virus programs attack linux running in wild. there virus programs can , attach servers .. attack windows computers utilize servers. there av program (several actually) should installed if going use machine server protect windows machines.

clean not required file system linux not fragment , not left behind when update (there some).

personally, use third party program clean (ubuntutweak), there command line programs available within system. i'm sure else chime in , give code cut , paste terminal . work!!

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
