Thread: Xubuntu install, no partition labels

so i'm trying install xubuntu alongside windows 7 on brand new laptop. default partitions unlabelled...? want xubuntu smaller, don't no which, webcam photo included clarification.

they're both white boxes?

do not resize windows installer!!!

boot windows, open disk management , shrink windows partition as want allocate ubuntu. leave newly created space unallocated, not create ntfs partition windows.
restart windows few times acknowledge shrink.

after start xubuntu installer (boot cd) , should install automatically unallocated space left it.
if want more specific setup, use manual partitioning doesn't sound it.
