Thread: Wifi and Sound no longer work


hello guys,

running ubuntu 12.04 dual-booted windows 7 on 64-bit laptop. recently, booted ubuntu, no longer connect internet wirelessly. have ethernet port, killer gaming network special port thing , manufacturer has no drivers linux. computer has been able connect wirelessly in past , doing consitently , on different networks. also, same time lost wireless abilities, sound , touchpad stopped working. idea have happened? thinking update gone wrong ran update-manager , said needed partial upgrade? running now, not sure happen. have ideas have went on?

for killer network card, believe 1 referring to: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2008332
should getting working.

now, using wireless, desktop, card or usb device, either way, it?

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
