Thread: Still trying to kill Recently Used

alright. have been trying stop items being added/shown in used heading of open dialog. i'm using xfce nautilus rendering desktop , marlin file manger. started ubuntu install , have xfce, mate, cinnamon, gnome3, , unity (still) installed. have enough of kde installed meet library requirements programs konversation.

here's i've done far:

have ran apt-get purge on 'zeitgeist*'. went , looked of locations store information , removed them.

emptied contents out of ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel , made uneditable
code:
sudo chattr +i ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel
this has kind of worked. if open many files in gedit (or program) still remember them until instances of program closed. need disabled; makes me angry.

if wondering why bothers me much, please imagine this: have wife or husband sits in kitchen evening , when open fridge , out write down time , item removed fridge. why that? it's infuriating!

delete zeitgiest synaptic, , install bleachbit?
