Thread: Dell M6700/AMD FirePro M6000 Graphics issues


hi all:

have ubuntu 12.04 running on dell m6700. install pretty smooth, except open video drivers don't work multiple displays amd firepro m6000 graphics card.

proprietary drivers work: 2 displays. i'm hoping have tri-head display system know possible m8900 video using open video drivers on dell m6600.

know need hack open driver work on m6000? displays on laptop display, , doesn't recognize samsung displays attached. it's stuck in unity 2d mode -vs- 3d mode.

proprietary drivers work, can work 2 displays instead of 3.

had hack proprietary drivers rid of "unsupported hardware" overlay, it. (basically followed recommendation from: http://superuser.com/questions/54157...-in-linux-mint extracting /etc/ati/control file latest version of driver amd.

hello pete,
have ordered dell precision m6700 amd firepro m6000. looking proprietary driver. amd's driver download web site says have go dell's driver support web site drivers. however, dell provides windows drivers amd firepro m6000.

'd appreciate if let me know where/how got proprietary amd firepro m6000 drivers.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
