Flash Player will not work in IE9


i tearing hair out uninstalling , reinstalling in endeavour flash player work, deleting flash player cache , browser history etc.  use windows 7 pro, 64 bit, ie9 (was using 64 bit use 32 bit in hope of fixing problem) , flash player 11.9.900.152.  have spent hours , hours on this.  videos remain blank in ie9, if click on blank area video runs sound no vision.  settings seem right, add-on enabled , active x filtering unchecked.  if go adobe website, flash player , check if flash player installed on computer congratulated having latest flash player version installed , clouds move in animation below.  if go flash player / find version nothing visible in check box @ 1!! videos blank on ie9, got desperate , downloaded chrome today see if flash player work on it, , does, want use ie9 default browser (i had ie10 rolled in attempt solve problem). please help!

chrome has own proprietary flash player embedded ("pepperflash"). functions independently of activex plugin ie.

 

download , run flash player uninstaller , shockwave player uninstallerto remove flash player , shockwave.

afterward, go c/windows/system32 , delete macromed folder if it's still there.

next, go c/windows/syswow64 , delete macromed folder if it's still there.

open registry editor. (start>run  or windows key+r , type "regedit")

under hkey_local_machine/software locate , delete macromedia folder if it's still there.

under hkey_current_user/software locate , delete macromedia folder if it's still there.

once that's done, download adobe flash player installer directly right clicking following link.

flash player activex (internet explorer)

save it, reboot , run it.

then go to: www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp

click link "internet explorer/aol" , follow steps download , run full shockwave installer (the link says 11, it's 12)

those steps should ensure have 100% fresh install of activex flash , shockwave pluigns ie. if you've got problems after that, post here , we'll @ options outside of plugins.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
