Thread: Burning ISO Dvd for Ubuntu 12.04


i purchased brand new toshiba laptop , toshiba dvd burner program (on windows) works , burn isos not have way adjust burn speed, assume burn iso @ maximum dvd speed blank dvd allows...

wondering, important these days (on newer computers) burn isos @ slow speeds?

if burn ubuntu iso @ full speed, errors on disc , cause problems in install do?
have others here burned @ max speed , find have no problems install?

feedback appreciated...thanks

the slower less chance of errors... don't know why don't have option choose write speed maybe should try program imgburn use burn iso's dvd/cd's using if burns dvd's fine wouldn't worry best way check give try!

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
