Please add control of Autoplay

flash autoplay major pita!

yeah, yeah, know, autoplay coded in individual webpages.  or, more specifically, in sidebar ads embedded multitudes of web pages.  mike m's raving response rant to poster here notwithstanding, problem within adobe's control.

the solution stunning trivial.  on playback tab of flash player settings manager dialog box (via "global settings..." link) add checkbox disable autoplay.  user preference can control damn thing!  flash acts if every page coded autoplay=false or whatever nonsense takes.  called 'override', it's not new concept.  flash askme/blockit options in same dialog box.

no, hitting mute not solution.  nor disabling active-x, or of other kludges out there.  tracking down offending video(s) when you've opened multiple newspaper web pages @ same time mess.

help adobe-wan kenobi, you're our hope!

fwiw, i'm using adoble flash player 11.9.900.117 on windows 7 home premium sp1

apparently didn't posted first time.

"autoplay" embed code.
it's in html of video's page, if developer put there, , only if developer put there.
flash player plays automatically on pages have "autoplay=yes" set parameter in html page developer.

all ranting , else on earth can't , won't change that. not no way. not no how.

the player cannot force video doesn't have code for... not playing annoying ads.
it's trying force dvd player play "casablanca" in color when filmed in black , white.

using internet exploder 1 of worst things can on web. (circa 1993) activex controls, cannot install ad blocking plugins, can opera, safari, chrome or firefox... real browsers.

perhaps it's time stopped being slave "masters" in redmond , think yourself. dump "problem child" of browsers, , program.
