Thread: Unity customization ideas?


no, not belong brainstorm because lock idea related unity design process closed. more ifs, , wish lists rather ideas... informal discussion how unity more customizable...

so, in case, wish set top panel always show window close/minimize/maximize buttons.

nice disable global menu bar feature or global title bar. if wanted have 1 or other not both.

launcher... nice being able set colors of buttons (no need hard code gui, add field .desktop files).

perhaps being able toggle between average color icon , the complement of average. if icon green, button pink.

being able disable trash button. have never used trash. ever since invented in windows 95...

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
