Thread: ubuntu 2.04 boot problem


i got problem ubuntu 10.04.4 , re install ubuntu 12.04 using usb.

not boot can boot usb. how can change it

also, no wireless network , not find terminal command etc.

machine dell inspiron mini 10.

grub installed on usb drive instead of main drive. try installing boot repair (link in sig line) , clicking on "recommended repair". if doesn't fix it, post contents of, or link to, boot info script results. can run script boot repair.

should able open terminal ctrl-alt-t.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
