Custom Effects in CS 6 (After Effects 11.0) on Mac


i getting error loadig downloaded template: "this project contains 4 references missing effects. please install following effects restore these references..."

 

there lot of info out there on how create custom (pseudo) effects in older versinos of ae, including manually updating preseteffects.xml file custom preset info. however, running 11.0.2 on mac, , there no preseteffects.xml file. in fact, there no folder: /applications/adobe after effects csx/ (show package contents) /resources/

 

is there information on how manually create it, or how achieve same thing in v 11?

what effects missing? template may require plug-ins not have.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
