Thread: Unity launcher text popup bug/bad rendering


hello,

installed ubuntu 12.04 64-bit yesterday. sadly, noticed when hover mouse on launcher icons , down, along launcher, text popup arrow displaying name of icon's program badly rendered, looking shadow or broken popup. it's not matter of speed, if leave cursor on icon, text popup remains glitchy.

have looks bad, unpolished, , hope there's way have fixed. know it's cosmetic bug, it's disappointing , glitchy, not mention rhythmbox hiding bottom end of song's title because font size big, that's story.

pc powered amd phenom quad-core cpu , ati card. i've installed proprietary ati drivers, it's not made difference.

ironically, if take screenshot of broken onmouseover text popup, first gets rendered correctly, takes shot.


[edit] i've seen removing icons launcher doesn't have pile/expand them helps, since text popup displayed correctly. think has icon tiles animation

i wonder if seeing related thread start. seems type of news plugin has invaded unity pulldown menus rendering them , whatever application overlay virtually useless.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
