hi,

running v12 lts server kubuntu desktop , have online photo gallery running.

if leave while monitor output switches off , after waking wireless appears work web browser , gallery unavailble on net.

guess have gone sleep , not woken again.

how can prevent computer sleeping or @ least activate wake-on-lan function of wireless adaptor?

if running server, don't need desktop. i'd suggest remove kdm, if need gui anything, use the:

startx
command, log out when finished. i'd suggest if server open world, revert wired network connection, not run wireless problems.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
