Flash Player plugin in Firefox does not play sound or crashes when connected via RDP (+RemoteFX)


hello everybody,

 

 

i using windows 8.1 enterprise in vdi infrastructure connect desktop residing in hyper-v environment providing remotefx support. therefore in virtual desktop connect through rdp virtual graphic adapter offers direct gpu support , 3d acceleration.

 

when using firefox 25.0.1 in combination latest relase of adobe shockwave player 11.9.900.152 (tried several older releases), embedded videos played without sound. furthermore when trying play video on youtube video starts fine 5sec , youtube error message displayed saying technical problems.

however, videos incl. youtube played flawless when using internet explorer on same desktop.

 

is there solution ? bug or not supported ?

i'm having exact same problem. using firefox 29.0 , adobe flash 13.0 (also tried silverlight). running remotefx on windows 7 32-bit guest hyper-v 2012 r2. haven't updated rdp 8.0 on guest yet because having trouble getting connected initially. might try , see if makes difference. i'll update here if have luck. love know if else has experienced , whether able solve issue.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
