Adobe Flash is present, install CD say NYET!! Won't run ....


i have older laptop still in running order. in fact did factory restore oem disks clean , running proper again.  went install older hp pda on activesync. cd says cannot run , gives link adobe flash download. i've checked , have latest adobe flash , on flash test pages animations run great. why installation cd refusing run because sees no adobe flash?

this occurs older applications. code has "version check" , it's based on single digit checksum. thus, flash player 10 or 11 "misread" "1" , not recognized current or higher current @ time software written.
i ran local police scanner website when flash player 10 released. website flash content uses same kind of checksum, , site read flash player 10 "1" , redirected me site download , older version "the latest".

 

you can try uninstalling have , download flash player 9.0.280.

install it, , install software... update 11 again.

that's worked in cases, can't guarantee you.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
