Thread: Problems mounting samba share


ok i've got 2 samba shares i'm trying mounted. both being shared same windows 7 machine. 1 mounts out problems, other 1 complains permission denied.

$ sudo mount -t cifs //win-pc/bd-documents ./docs -o guest
$ sudo mount -t cifs //win-pc/bd-media ./media -o guest
mount error(13): permission denied
refer mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
$ mount | grep win
//win-pc/bd-documents on /home/jhubbard/mnt/docs type cifs (rw,mand)

not matter share attempt mount first. isn't permission problem on linux directory side (i.e. can mount bd-documents ./media). i've poked around on windows side , there don't appear differences between shares. don't have problems accessing either share different windows 7 pc.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
