Thread: Recommend small ARM system

i bought couple raspberry pi , sold them because wasn't powerful enough me. (i made $75 off 2 rasppis, cha ching) rasppi doesn't run ubuntu (yet?) no offense debian, ubuntu little better.
caught bug tiny arm systems , want nice 1 $100 - $150
have found:
cubox http://www.solid-run.com/products/cubox
odroid-x http://www.hardkernel.com/renewal_20.../prdt_info.php

leaning towards cubox, because has esata , gb ethernet , there seems nice budding community too.
platform think more promising? other platforms?
not worth mentioning gooseberry, china brand android tablet motherboard. run android.

i'm interested in hardware power custom media player. i'm in process of converting bluray , dvds digital files , start looking inexpensive hardware run media player on tvs.

i'm looking @ xbmc player of choice have not yet started looking @ hardware available out there.

have found following articles of interest in regard:

build silent/standalone xbmc media center
- acer nettop 1.8ghz ($230)
- asus eee box 1.6ghz ($173)
pandaboard
igloo snowball board
versatile express board
origen board
xtreamer ultra2 delux ($300)

find other hardware options out there run ubuntu, i'll update post.

odroid-x won't work me since not have hdmi output.
cubox seems sold out , may or may not able handle hd.

thanks,
lhammonds
