Thread: Remmina Display Doesn't Properly Refresh


when making vnc remmina connection 12.04 desktop newly set 12.04 notebook remote display doesn't follow refresh changes. if attempt move windows remotely ... part of screen repaints, entire window not become invalidated , complete repaint not happen. googling produced this find ... problem. unfortunately last reply indicates key no longer applicable in gconfig-editor ... correct. anyway appreciate idea on how around issue please makes remmina remote control unusable. btw when notebook running 10.04 issue did not happen ... assuming perhaps still compiz problem.

information , help!

i have encountered same problem in other similar programs few months ago. sorry, cannot recall which. point exhibited form of not refreshing screen. way can use remote mouse-down drag 1 corner refresh screen. pain.

did not work:
dconf-editor->desktop->gnome->remote-access->disable-xdamage (google this) seems have no effect.

tried this: (from google search):
"went remote desktop, logged out , logged in "ubuntu 2d". problem solved. "

hey, worked! shall stick ubuntu 2d awhile see might missing. first impression, not much.

hey, spoke soon. 2d fix appeared resolve problem @ first. however, after few minutes, problem seemed reappear. have no idea why , have had wine abel spurrsuue ftherther.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
