if wanting download font, new century schoolbook, steps take, if possible?

then, how have openoffice use these fonts?

1.download font have.
2. extract somewhere
3. in terminal type:
code:
gksudo open nautilus
4.(now have 2 nautilus opened) copy&paste extracted files .fonts folder
destination /home/username/.fonts . it's hidden folder have make visible (ctrl+h if remembered correct)

5. after copied stuff in there, open terminal again.
code:
 fc-cache -fv
6.done

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
