Thread: how can i fresh reinstall the spm-removed applications avoiding old settings!

why every time remove application through spm , reinstall expectation installed fresh again same old setting , problems persist @ all! troublesome in ubuntu far have realized! fresh installation; not possible in ubuntu???

program settings stored in home folder in directory starting ".". can see them using ls -a (or ctrl-h in nautilus). example firefox stores user settings in ~/.mozilla/

don't know program talking about, deleting/moving settings files need do. uninstalling / reinstalling program remove , re-add same packages resulting in no net change in cases.
