hi, upgrading 256mb ddr1 1gb ddr1. need turn computer off before put in new modules?

i'm afraid if turn off first, computer might not turn on again.

yes turn off computer. regardless if whether or not modules or parts can replaced while system running, chances of electrocution great. don't chance it.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
