Thread: Can I get ubuntu in my portable hard driver?


hi there.
have no idea of computers, know if can ubuntu in portable hard driver , run program on computer has software in it.

seems silly question, nobody know has answered me simple question?

@ home use provider don't want use anymore.

advice? or have buy pc?

assuming external hard drive large enough , assuming computer can boot external drive (most can these days) then, yes, yo ucan install ubuntu on external hard drive , boot it, if computer running operating system.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
