hi,   i'm running cf10 on sles11 (linux) , experiencing problem when using filenames german umlaut characters (ä,ü,ü etc.) outputfile attribute. these filenames mangled in linux filesystem, e.g. "anästhesie" becomes "an?sthesie".   same thing happens when umlaut characters used "cffile action='write'" in file attribute, not option write output of cfexecute variable , write content of variable file using cffile tag.   i'm pretty sure character set encoding problem, don't know how solve it. afaik, cf10 uses utf-8 encoding default, filesystem uses iso-8859-15. how can make cf store correct filename in filesystem?   the filenames result of database query , should remain unchanged database reference isn't broken. i'd prefer not having resort converting filenames pure ascii (e.g. ä -> ae) before passing them outputfile attribute.   regards, richard More discussions in Advanced Techniques adobe

hello community,   i have problem concering place-function of photoshop cs6. want include hundreds of png files in psd file , want them keep original size. unfortinatly have transparent borders , ps deletes these borders when place images in psd-file. example: have square x=50px , y=50px , positioned in png dimensions x=100px , y=100px. want have these kind of files in psd-file need keep full dimensions, because graphic specifications relate 100px/100px size , need later in workflow.   how stop ps cutting off tranparent borders of images?   i'm not sure that's possible, although nice option.  2 ways can see around this:   1. change png file type psb , put non visible layer in ps thinks there pixels way borders.   2. put tiny dot in 2 opposting corners of file @ 1% opacity, can't see it, ps detects , not crop.   with hundreds of files, mentioned, neither of these options ideal.  both scripted don't have manually it.  More discussions in Ph...

i'm trying compile own kernel (3.5) under ubuntu 12.04. did: after copying on config existing kernel (one repos) , merging new options (using defaults), build deb. install deb 1 installs deb. symptoms: when desktop environment loads, discover cannot access usb devices. ps/2-based keyboard works fine, can use when drop new tty or open terminal window. x not report usb input devices. possible causes: perhaps modules didn't compiled kernel before install. other (questionably relevant) information: if boot older kernel, works beautifully. appears though see various usb hubs, located in motherboard. there a place can check whether or not need gets loaded? or see problem right off? logs available upon request. i have same problem. after following this guide 3.5.3 kernel, usb devices (wireless mouse, usb-serial converter etc) not being recognized. help! using acrobat xi standard on new hp envy touchsmart desktop. i've been able create pdfs single , mulitple word documents. and created pdf form fillable fields. but when tested filling in fields , go "save as" document can preserve data, acrobat stops working , shuts down - stops working before can try change file name. this has been happening couple of months. i uninstalled , reinstalled software yesterday hp tech desk since @ first thought had a hardware problem new computer, don't think that's issue. i thought fine today same problem show up, though checked , made available updates acrobat.   i'm running windows 8 64-bit os us. what's problem?   thanks help! i borrowed book library, downloaded adobe digital editions (and able open on pc) , transferred (adobe authorized) kobo mini reader. unfortunately reader refused open book because “ it not authorized use adobe id ”. reset reader, signed in kobo account, authorized again adobe digital editions, got same error.   i use 1 , same email address account id adobe , kobo noticed 1 kobo spelled lowercase letters while 1 adobe has first letter capitalized. problem?   i tried changing adobe id lowercase on abobe's website got error “ that adobe id not available. please try address. ”   this first drm book trying access on kobo.   thank you. i don't think kobo account relevant @ all. also, email address capitalization ignored; though maybe there bit of ade  (adobe digital editions) or kobo not ignore it. when my (adobe authorized) kobo mini reader assume mean authorized using 'authorize device' ade?   it might worth trying ade1.7.2, though not...
