Thread: fix Windows, dual boot Lucid Lynx


i got tired of problems windows xp, partitioned , made dual boot of ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx cd library. worked okay, things not work on ubuntu (though if know does, let me know) though have winehq. so, want fix windows side, because froze on me after uninstalled comodo (wished had never used frankly), , went zone alarm. evidently comodo leaves little residues, because when installed zone alarm, froze. boots toshiba window, not tray , icons page.

can't use dragon 10 ubuntu 10.04. searched , searched , 1 or 2 other programs. if figure out how use them, eliminate dual boot.

appreciated , newbiest absolute beginner there is. know nothing linux in general, can't assume know thing , directions, much, have step step.

i recommend virtualization of kind. allow run 1 operating system within other. virtualization software virtualbox , vmware have "seamless" features allow run both systems such 1 single desktop.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
