Thread: Medialink Mwn-usb150n; HP pavilion laptop


i put ubuntu 10.04 on friend's hp pavilion "entertainment" laptop. works fine, hooked ethernet.
has wireless hookup in place. i'm trying medialink mwn-usb150n work.

downloaded driver. right clicked on , used archive manager extract file home folder.
opened terminal , pasted following terminal:

cd ~/2009_0525_rt3070_linux_sta_v2.1.1.0 (hit enter)

make (hit enter)

after running got message "[linux] error 2"

opened terminal , entered: lsusb

result:
laptop:~$ lsusb
bus 004 device 001: id 1d6b:0001 linux foundation 1.1 root hub
bus 003 device 001: id 1d6b:0001 linux foundation 1.1 root hub
bus 002 device 001: id 1d6b:0002 linux foundation 2.0 root hub

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
