(this comp freezes quite no reason when typing here, , want eliminate 1 possible reason. installed 12.04 (encrypted), disabled js. firefox freezes no reason, when loading big page, when switching desktops, , @ other random times. "unresponsive script" error, , when script stopped things start working again.) questions:------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. why there such javascript modules. required. can eliminated permanently?--------------------------------------------- 2. can chrome can eliminated (say, example deleting chrome folder) fom firefox ? possible side effects? --------------------------- 3. k 8.04 faster. (sometimes 100-1000 times faster). there many unnecessary programs running in 12.04? there might filling swap memory unnecessraily (and tracking purposes). example started firefox program , opened few small pages opening new window can freezes few seconds------------------------------------------------------------ these general questions, not questions me or computer. these questions firefox, k 12.04, chrome, , jsm modules. thanks.

what computer configuration? if have less 1gb of ram issue.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. (you have if have cross compiled app windows) https://live.gnome.org/gtkmm/mswindows (2) run these commands create proper directory structure. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
