Thread: Can editing .bashrc lead to security issues?


i trying define commands convenience worried bit if editing .bashrc can lead security issues. (i read long ago .bashrc or .bash_profile edited intruders, if remember correctly better know correct way edit.)

plan use commands:
code:
gksudo gedit .bashrc& add: alias com1='command_1'
also, difference between editing .bashrc , .bash_profile? unable locate .bash_profile.

if intruder able edit files, he/she has broken system and, in opinion, every worry files late.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
