Dreamweaver deleting automatically selected item on page when coding


since monday (as titled in subject) when i'm coding in dreamweaver version 13.1 build 6443 (mac osx 10.9) , selecting item (tag, image, script, ecc...) after second item automatically deleted programme.

i try reinstall situation has never changed. resetting preference , other...but nothing!

is there can me?

try creating new mac user account , see if still happens.

using value from one form field in another form field

i hope can accurately describe problem. please bear me   i have worksheet lot of form fields. text boxes , few combo boxes. i'm using lot of custom calculation scripts determine information auto populates of fields. but i'm having problems 1 last form field named orthoplanid.   the value auto populates depends on 2 other fields. 1 field called medoop. other field suppdenplanid. tried using if/then/else statement orthoplanid it's not working. guessing doesn't work b/c value in medoop field generated if/then statement i'm not sure if script recognizes value true value or not.   is there way around this? i'm not sure if i've explained problem hope can   thanks, brandy it's hard without being able @ form, can begin confirming field calculation order correct (it's not same thing tab order) , checking see if errors reported in javascript console (ctrl+j).
