Thread: Silverlight vs HTML 5

i have been locked out of few sites because have been developed silverlight 5 , mono not have compatible version of moonlight available. and, not familiar html 5 capabilities. question is, if site develop application output html 5 code allow web browser running on ubuntu view site , provide "animation"? site access public (as in government) site , use of propietary (silverlight, .net) environments locking public (as in citizen) out of it.

site afflicted has not of future. puzzles me when sites go out of way expend work , resources narrow audience , limit options.

if work html5, site should fine in ubuntu.
